Recent site changes and all of the free RPG stuff
Now I know some people might think it is because I am a nice guy, which I think I am but there are other reasons as well and felt I should go into such things. This site is much more than just free dungeon tiles, maps or whatever else I desire to offer here, it is my way of giving back to a game I enjoy and testing a new business model.
Let’s face it, none of us are rich or won the lottery so we work or at the very least would like to get a return on the time we invest in projects so rather than charge people for NPC Designer like I used to at one time or charge for dungeon tiles, maps, generators or content I decided to put ads on the site that should be of interest to whatever page you are on and this site gets paid when people take a moment and check out the site on the ad. Everything is legit, it is merely a business model that has worked for many other sites. This method cost the users of the site nothing, so I look at it as a win- win situation for all.
The second reason is I love dungeons and dragons, been playing the game since I was 8 and based on my current age that has been for a very long time. I can still remember my first dungeon master using those small pamphlet style books running the game and how clueless I was when first starting out but in time that changed, this is my way of giving back to the next generation of players. Offering them some hopefully good quality gaming aids to assist them in learning and enjoy a game I have enjoyed for so many years.
The last but not least reason is thanks to Chris West I am learning photoshop and how to draw maps, in my opinion still have a long way to go but I am at the point where only practice makes you better. What better way to practice by also giving back to the role playing community with maps they can use in their game, who knows you may even find some new content here you can do as well.
