Acidic Spell [Metamagic]

You imbue damaging spells with an acidic quality.

Benefit: A spell that causes damage gains the [Acid] descriptor and deals an extra +1 points of damage per caster level (maximum of +10 damage). An acidic spell uses up a spell slot one level higher than the spell’s actual level.

Align Spell [Metamagic]

Your character wishes his spell to only harm or benefit those of a particular alignment.

Prerequisite: Intelligence 13+, Heighten Spell

Benefit: Any spell cast can be modified by the caster so that it effects only those of a specific alignment. The caster may decide a single alignment modifier (Good, Chaotic) or a specific alignment (Lawful Evil, Chaotic Neutral). If a
spell is aligned to only effect a specific alignment and has no target that meets that requirement, it will return and strike the caster, for good or ill.

Burning Counterspell (Metamagic)

You are a veteran of deadly magical duels, capable of unleashing mystical assaults that burn through an enemy mage’s arcane defenses.

Prerequisite: Improved Counterspell

Benefit: If you succeed at counterspelling an opposing caster’s spell with any spell of the same school, the casting mage suffers 1d6 points of either fire, electrical, infernal or divine damage (chosen when this feat is first chosen, which thereafter can’t be changed) per level of the counterspell. If you choose to counterspell a hostile spell with the exact same spell, the enemy caster suffers 1d6 points of energy damage per level of the counterspell. The enemy caster can attempt a WILL save for half damage.

Destructive Spell [Metamagic]

As you increase in experience, your damage-dealing spells advance to further heights of destructive ability than they do for most others.

Prerequisites: Heighten Spell, Int 15.

Benefit: Spells with damage caps have their cap increased by one and one-half (round up) of the spell’s original limit. This increase either applies to the maximum number of dice of damage rolled – for spells that increase in damage by a number of dice per level – or it applies to the number of damage-inflicting items created by the spell – such as the number of missiles created by magic missile. A destructive spell uses up a spell slot two levels higher than the spell’s actual level.

Examples: A destructive fireball has a maximum damage of 15d6 (a 15th-level caster) and takes up a 5thlevel spell slot. A destructive magic missile, cast by a 15th-level spellcaster, unleashes a total of 8 missiles and takes up a 3rd-level spell slot.

Shade Spell [Metamagic]

Your spell and/or its wake radiates shadowy illumination.

Benefit: An area spell not targeted on a creature shadows that area as per the darkness spell in addition to its normal effect(s). Ray and line of effect spells shadow all spaces they pass through but the darkness does not affect the target (or targets’) space(s). The duration of the darkness is 1 minute per level. A spell-shade spell uses up a spell slot one level higher than the spell’s actual level.

Special: No spell with the good descriptor can be shaded by this feat.

Suddeon Generous Spell [Metamagic]

You can cast a spell that is normally reserved for you on someone else without special preparation.

Benefit: Once per day, you can apply the effect of the Generous Spell feat to any “range: personal” or “target: you” spell you cast without increasing the level of the spell or specially preparing it ahead of time. You can still use Generous Spell normally if you have it.

The metapsionic version of this feat is called Sudden Generous Power. It requires no power points, nor that you expend your psionic focus.
