Lake of Spires - Rules

Lake of Spires - Rules

As with any new campaign setting, adding and modifying the rules of d20 rules to create a unique world is important otherwise your players will eventually fall into the same old grind.  Personally I love and enjoy rules; they give you a foundation to which you can build many things to spark the imagination needed to grow a long campaign.  When I develop something I follow the design methodology for everything I add, I also provide 2 mysteries or secrets in addition.  Now I know most of what I do never will fall into the grasps of players but rumors and stories they hear do and that is sometimes worth far more then gold or magic.

Feats (General)
If character or npc were nothing more then the class and/or prestige class then as a general rule they all look and feel the same.  This section covers general feats that can help mold any class into some think different.
Feats (Metamagic)
No two spell casters need to be alike or cast the same spells, even if they are the named the same.  your favor wizard to the next level with unique metamagic feats to give your spells an advantage.
Feats (Spelltouched)
In any fantasy setting there is magic and where there is magic there is the chance of lingering effects.  Anyone subject to certain magical effects can use that to further enhance their abilities that would not naturally be attainable.
Grimoires
Grimoires are nearly indestructible books that contain spells that are usable over and over again.  Their very natures make grimoires valuable objects of great importance to spellcasters of all sorts.
